PROBLEM
STATEMENT:
·
Can we detect the leakage of gas, when we are out of home?
·
Can we automatically turn off the knob in the cylinder?
When we are out of home, we can’t
able to detect the leakage of gas in our home. This is an serious issue
and some lost their lives due to the bursting of the cylinder. Can we solve this issue as an engineer?
SOLUTION:
The solution is “YES”,WE CAN . This problem can be solved
by INTERNET OF THINGS. By using this we
can easily detect the leakage of gas. This reduces the number of fire accidents due to leakage in gas.
DESCRIPTION:
Mostly
the leakage in the gas is due to the faulty regulator fitting, malfunctioning
of rubber tubing etc.., so the sensor
which is used to detect the leakage in the gas is fitted on the cylinder near
the regulator. If any leakage occurs the sensor will sense the gas and sends
the information to the IBM bluemix. Then it measure the level of temperature in
the room, and if it exceeds above 40 degree celcius it will send an alert
message to us .

1. MQ-6 LPG FLAMMABLE GAS
SENSOR .
USAGE:

Easy detection of leakage in the gas through IOT.
·
Avoids the fire accidents due to the leakage in the gas.
FUTURE
SCOPE:
In future we can detect the
level of the gas based on the IOT. Moreover the gas usage is high everywhere.
This is to monitor the weight of the LPG gas in the cylinder, if the gas is
empty it will automatically report you to book for the another cylinder through
IOT.
